HBI was founded by Garth Schmalenberg in 2002 as a Management Consulting organization. Through a gradual evolution of our services, we've gained experience and skills in coaching people in a variety of situations from leadership and professional roles to relationships in families. Our experiences have lead us to specialize in areas related to development of awareness, skills and attitudes for to creating a more sustainable world. One key to this endeavor is the development of relationships and our will and ability to work together towards a common goal. In fact, these skills are an integral part of solving any complex problem, whether that be related to creating a more effective organization or building a more sustainable world. What is common to every human being, whether an Organizational leader, an employee or someone in a home environment, is that they have relationships all around them which influence their lives. Combining training, coaching and faciliation with a variety of methodologies and philosophies, our goal is to assist our clients in developing stonger relationships and build abilities that facilitate the solution of complex issues. These relationships support and increase business success, personal success and ultimately contribute to causes of social justice and environmental justice.
